BODY LIMITS II

Body Limits II est une série de travaux vidéo qui utilisent des captations de danse choisies sur Internet. La multiplication des corps et les transformations opérées sur les couleurs et la vitesse détournent ces captations en oeuvres d'art vidéo où la frontière entre figuration et abstraction est remise en question. Les bandes son originales ont été conservées. Ralenties à la même vitesse que l'image et enrichies par plusieurs effets, elles contribuent à l'esthétique de ces détournements. Le corps, poussé dans ses limites, est transcendé pour donner vie à de nouvelles représentations de l'activité physique.	Body Limits II is a series of video works that use dance video recordings chosen on the Internet. The multiplication of bodies and the transformations carried out on colors and speed turn these recordings into video artworks where the border between figuration and abstraction is called into question. The original soundtracks have been preserved. Slowed down to the same speed as the image and enriched by several effects, they contribute to the aesthetics of these détournements. The body, pushed to its limits, is transcended to give life to new representations of physical activity.
